Mark Manney Debuts Micromarket Loss Prevention Manual

CREEDMOOR, NC  — Mark Manney of Loss Prevention Results Inc. is debuting his 50- plus page Micromarket Loss Prevention Manual, now available for purchase through the Vending Times Book Store.

Manney spent three decades in retail loss prevention, dealing with the one out of 11 Americans who shoplift regularly, before entering the vending and foodservice industry in 2002.

He developed the manual while building a loss-prevention program from the ground up for a large vending operation from 2012 to 2015, where he focused on dozens of its micromarkets, many of which were located in high-volume, high-risk, blue-collar/temp locations.

“All the tactics explained in the manual were developed, molded, shaped and tested in my client’s micromarkets and then in a national vending company’s micromarkets after they bought my client and retained me for that purpose,” Manney said. “My client had gone into many high-volume, high-risk, blue- collar/temp accounts most of the competition had feared to tread in. These types of micromarket accounts have to be managed with a muscular loss prevention program…otherwise you will get your clock cleaned with systemic theft.”

Manney spent three decades in retail loss prevention, dealing with the one out of 11 Americans who shoplift regularly, before entering the vending and foodservice industry in 2002. Since then, he has exposed dishonest employees in more than 70 vending operations across 27 states. From 2004 to 2010, he was National Automatic Merchandising Association security/loss prevention know¬ledge source partner.
